The recording
Recorded during the 1999 sessions for 'Enema of the State' at various Los Angeles studios. Producer Jerry Finn was instrumental in the guitar sound, often blending Tom's Mesa/Boogie setup with his own Marshall amps to carve out a specific, pop-punk timbre. Tom primarily tracked with a Gibson Les Paul containing a Seymour Duncan Invader, and while widely associated with his later Stratocaster builds, the Les Paul/Invader and producer-owned Telecaster were the staples of the 'Enema' studio sessions.
