Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026. Placeholders in [brackets] must be completed before launch; have a lawyer review.

1. The service

ToneTwin (“the Service”) provides AI-generated guitar and bass amp settings, gear recommendations, and tone adaptations. Outputs are best-effort approximations compiled from public sources and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for informational purposes only and are not professional advice.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from the Account screen; deletion removes your profile, presets, and saved tones.

3. Subscriptions & billing

ToneTwin Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. On iOS it is billed through your Apple ID; on the web it is billed through Polar (our Merchant of Record). Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen period until cancelled. Manage or cancel anytime: iOS in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; web via the Polar customer portal linked on your Account screen. A free trial, where offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. All prices include applicable VAT and are shown before purchase.

4. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)

As a consumer you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a contract for digital content. By starting your subscription or free trial you expressly request that we begin providing the Service immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully provided. For subscriptions, you may still cancel future renewals at any time as described above.

5. Acceptable use

Do not abuse, scrape, reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to disrupt the Service. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that do.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its software and design are owned by us. The settings you generate are yours to use for your own playing and recording.

7. Disclaimer & liability

The Service is provided “as is”. Nothing in these terms limits liability for injury to life, body or health, for intent or gross negligence, or under mandatory statutory law (including the German Product Liability Act). Otherwise, for slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on the AI-generated outputs.

8. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Sales Convention; mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. The EU online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged and generally not willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

9. Contact

The provider and contact details are listed in our Impressum. See also our Privacy Policy.
