Recorded on September 8, 1977, at Sunset Sound Recorders in Hollywood, CA, with producer Ted Templeman. The solo was captured essentially live as part of the studio tracking session for the debut album 'Van Halen'. The studio's natural reverb chamber was also employed to enhance the final recorded sound.
