Recorded at Le Studio in Morin-Heights, Quebec, in late 1980 for the album Moving Pictures. Produced by Rush and Terry Brown, the sessions were noted for being technically demanding, with the band tracking 'off the floor' for many parts. Lifeson 'winged' the guitar solo by piecing together multiple improvisational takes.
