Derek and the Dominos

The recording
Recorded at Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida, in September 1970 under the production of Tom Dowd. Eric Clapton handled all guitar parts himself, overdubbing multiple layers to create the complex harmonic interplay heard in the song, as Duane Allman was not present for this specific session. The clean yet grit-rich 'chime' was achieved by driving small Fender tube amplifiers, primarily the Champ, into natural compression.
