The recording
Recorded during the sessions for 'OK Computer' at Canned Applause Studios in 1996. The track, produced by Nigel Godrich, was a 'first-take' capture that the band felt they could never improve upon. The 'drowsy' and hauntingly slow quality was achieved by recording the band playing at a faster tempo and then slowing the playback speed down, followed by Thom Yorke's vocal overdubbing.
