Domination was recorded at The Dallas Sound Lab in 1990 under producer Terry Date. Dimebag Darrell tracked his parts using a Dean ML directly into a Randall RM100 solid‑state head, then routed the signal through a Wizard Metal Series tube head for added harmonic richness. The combined signal fed a Randall 4×12 cabinet loaded with Celestion V‑30 speakers. For the lead sections he employed a Cry Baby wah and a subtle MXR Carbon Copy analog delay, shaping the solo’s vocal‑like phrasing. The rhythm guitars sit tightly in the mix, with the layered amps delivering the razor‑sharp, aggressive tone that defines the track.
