The recording
Recorded in 1990 at the legendary Rumbo Recorders in Canoga Park, California. The album was produced by Mike Clink and Dave Mustaine, with technical engineering by Micajah Ryan and mixing by Max Norman. The sessions were characterized by extreme precision, particularly for the dual-guitar interplay between Dave Mustaine and the newly joined Marty Friedman, whose exotic scales and sweep picking redefined the band's sonic signature.
