The recording
The song 'One' was recorded for the 1988 album *...And Justice for All* at Hit Factory in New York. The solos were notoriously challenging for Kirk Hammett, who recorded and re-recorded them multiple times during the tour. The final lead tones were achieved by blending a programmable rack-mounted ADA MP-1 preamp with the saturation of a Mesa/Boogie Mark IIC+.
