The recording
Recorded at Power Station Studios in New York by engineer Bob Clearmountain. The signature Nile Rodgers 'chucking' sound was achieved by plugging his 1960 'Hitmaker' Stratocaster directly into the Neve 8068 console. This technique, combined with his unique tight-strumming and muting style, allowed the rhythm guitar to sit perfectly in the mix without competing with the bass frequencies.
